Terms of Service

Welcome to npcee! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the npcee mobile application ("the app") developed by Xanduri. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use npcee. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate information during registration.
• Your username must not impersonate others, contain offensive language, or violate any third-party rights.
• You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings screen.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Attempt to manipulate game mechanics, exploit bugs, or use automated tools to gain an unfair advantage.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
• Use the app's location features to track, stalk, or monitor other users.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans, rate limits, or game restrictions.

4. Game Content and Virtual Items

• All in-game items, tokens, XP, and virtual currency are owned by Xanduri and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use.
• Virtual items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged, sold, or transferred outside the app.
• We reserve the right to modify, remove, or rebalance game content at any time.

5. AI-Generated Content

npcee uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to generate encounter dialogue between players. This content is:

• Generated dynamically based on player profiles (names, interests, personality traits).
• Not reviewed by humans before being shown to you.
• Not guaranteed to be accurate, appropriate, or free from errors.

We implement safety filters and content guidelines, but AI-generated content may occasionally produce unexpected results. Please report any inappropriate content through the feedback option in Settings.

6. Location Services

npcee requires location access to function. By enabling location services, you understand that:

• Your location is used on your own device to display your personal map, unlock neighborhoods, and detect proximity to other players.
• Background location is used for passive encounter detection. You can disable this at any time.
• Your location is never shown to other players. No one can see where you are or have been. Only the fact that an encounter occurred is recorded.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in npcee — including artwork, music, NPC characters, game design, and code — is the property of Xanduri and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that is harmful to other users or the service. You may also delete your account at any time through the app's Settings.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

npcee is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use the app at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Xanduri shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of npcee, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of virtual items, or interruption of service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
